Carriers continue to invest in capacity expansion of their regional and backbone networks in order to accommodate ongoing growth in numbers of subscribers and connection speeds. CoreOptics' digital signal processing technology and products in 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s satisfy carrier requirements with respect to minimizing new capital and operation expenditures and set the migration path to 100G networks.

CoreOptics’ innovative edge lies in its use of patented "MLSE" and "MLSE-2" technology. The MLSE algorithm addresses the physical layer challenges of optical fiber transmission to enable cost-effective and higher capacity of next-generation networks. This enables CoreOptics to deliver added value to our customers. We’ve made reality advanced analog and digital electronic signal processing to resolve physical layer fiber transmission impairments using proven silicon technologies at very low incremental cost.

As a first step towards this objective, CoreOptics has developed MSA-compliant transponder platforms at 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s. CoreOptics’ transponder solutions enable a seamless transition from proprietary internal transponder designs to MSA compliant solutions.

Furthermore, CoreOptics advanced transponder platforms will enable carriers to further reduce the total capital and operational cost of the existing networks and offer new revenue generating services.

CoreOptics’ core intellectual property in advanced digital signal processing is incorporated in the mixed signal, high-speed ASICs that are delivered within its MSA-compliant 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s transponders.
