43G Muxponder with MCPOM |

The MCPOM is a combined Dual Channel 10G SERDES and Ethernet to OTN mapper that can be used with the MUX40V to enable a complete 3G Muxponder solution. The MCPOM supports multi-rate XFI interfaces allowing direct connection to XFP modules and supports data rates from .96Gbit/s (G.707) to 11.1 Gbit/s OTU-2 (overclocked).
Each MCPOM connects to the MUX40V via two SFI-5s interfaces with the MUX40V connecting to the 43G Optical module via a SFI-5 interface.
When a 10G interface is configured for either SONET/SDH or OTN the MCPOM acts as a SERDES.
When the 10G interface is configured for 10GBase-R the MCPOM will map this signal into an OTU-2iA interface allowing the MUX40V to multiplex the signal into an 43Gb/s OTU-3.
