Marconi’s sale of its Multihaul 3000 platform to Deutsche Telekom’s (DT’s) T-Com fixed-network unit represents an important milestone for 40 Gbit/sec technology.Marconi co-developed with CoreOptics GmbH (Nuremburg, Germany) a 40 Gbit/sec transponder that fit directly into the Multihaul 3000.
