43 Gbit/sec Multiplexer/Demultiplexer Chip (CO40MUX10)
Description
The CO40MUX10 is a device that multiplexes either an OC-192/STM-64/10
Gbit/sec CBR or an OTU-2 signal into an OTU-3 signal. Standard
G.709 FEC is supported on all client and line interfaces.
The CO40MUX10 can support either synchronous or asynchronous
mapping/de-mapping with the help of integrated phase detectors.
The CO40MUX10 provided extensive overhead processing of both
OTN and SONET/SDH signals.
The CO40MUX10 can be connected, via the SFI-5 line interface,
to the CO40FEC10 device (in order to add G.971 Ultra FEC)
or directly to a 43 Gbit/sec optical transponder such as the
CO40TDL10.
Client interfaces can be connected directly to the MCPOM
via the four separate SFI-5s interfaces. The MCPOM provides
direct connection to XFP Optical modules.
Mapping of 10GbE (LAN) can be supported with the MCPOM mapping
the data into a OTU-2 frame and connecting to the CO40MUX10
client SFI-5s interfaces.
The device is available in both RoHS5 and RoHS6 packages.
